Re: Help with meditation

So I can’t get anything out of that. And when I try to meditate lying down I want to go to sleep and have to quit. So I am wondering if there different kind of meditation that will work for me?. I would really appreciate it.
Thank you

A lot of folks have trouble meditating, if one does, my suggestion would be to take a class in beginning meditation from one of your local Hatha Yoga teachers. They are trained to help folks get started with meditation. After taking the class you will have a good foundation with how to meditate and can then with that knowledge decide where you would like to go from there. When I decided to be serious about meditation I started with staring into a candle flame for three to four hours a day to learn how to focus my mind. I did this for three years. The best candle is a vegetable oil candle with a floating wick using a brandy snifter to hold the oil and wick. One gets a strong steady flame from that kind of system.
