Leonids Meteor Shower 2009! Empty Leonids Meteor Shower 2009!

A great example of a meteor shower. Can produce up to 300 per hour. It has a reputation for being hard to predict (they always seem to underestemate how many you will see). It can produce meteor storms, which have in access of 1000 per hour. One leonids has produced at least 100 000 per hour, tahts 30 a second! The peak time will be 4 45p, ET on november the 17th, but you will see great results when it gets dark, especially around 2 am. You have to look in the northeastern section of the sky. In north america it will be moderate, but any one in asia it will be awome

Hi Jesse,
Thank you for the meteor shower info!
Looking at stars has become a recent interest of mine and this sounds awesome.
To help find this shower, I just learned that if you follow the 2 inner stars of the bowl of the big dipper (in the north sky) downward, that you will find the constellation Leo and consequently, this Leonids meteor shower.
As a contrast if you follow the outer 2 big dipper bowl stars upward, you will find Polaris (the north star) which is the end star of the handle of the little dipper.
Lets hope for clear skies!
Thanks again and have a great day my friend!
Peace and Blessings
